I am updating from a Days Inn in Jordan! Yesterday we went to a mall and they had Starbucks, Mrs. Fields, a Dunkin' Donuts rip-off, and all those other places associated with civilization. And (drum roll, please) I have carpet in my room. Also, I watched Big Fat Greek Wedding, Frasier and 3rd Rock from the Sun with arabic subtitles. I especially enjoyed Frasier. Unfortunately, we return today. Actually, that is fortunate because everything is expensive here. And I feel more than a little out of place. On the bus ride from the border to Amman, I only saw two girls with their heads uncovered. It's definitely a different world here. I'll update more later!
