Dear Pitchforkmedia, and every other music review network who insists that Muse is a Radiohead knockoff,
Do you guys know what you're talking about? I still don't see the resemblance between the bands, and I think you guys are retarded. Seriously. "So, these two British alt. rock bands wildly diverge from the norm, feature unique vocals, and unusual song writing. Radiohead's been around longer, so Muse ripped them off." I don't get it. I want someone to point off this serious relationship between the two bands. For one, Matt Bellamy and Thom Yorke sound LITTLE TO NOTHING ALIKE. I can at least fucking understand Matt Bellamy, and Thom Yorke isn't an asthmatic chain-smoker. Also, c'mon, at least Muse still uses fucking guitar (yes, I know guitar was quite prominent on Hail to the Thief). I really don't get it, and I would like to see this huge comparison I'm missing.
Also, the new AFI album is mostly depressing. Not depressing in that selling-records-to-disenfranchised-teenage-girls depressing, but depressing in that what-the-Hell-you-made-one-of-my-favorite-albums-of-all-time-and-now-you-sound-like-a-cheap-parody-of -yourselves depressing. Davey's new scream was stolen right from Atreyu, as well, and I think that they should sue for their shitty vocal techniques.
Gnarls Barkley's "St. Elsewhere." Amazing album? Discuss.
