Sydney has surprised even me. I didn't think I'd swing into this grind so quickly. By the afternoon of my arrival, I was already doing busy work for research and the next day I pulled a nine hour stint. I met a nice Finnish friend who I've had a good time with and we stayed up eating Burritos and ramen in the hostel. I learned a lot about Finland, which I will admit I had scant knowledge of the place before this encounter. The "Winter" is nothing but a big hoax, its 70 degrees and the beach is crowded with surfers and sunbathers. What a horrible life these Australians have. I don't feel guilty about missing the summer after all. I am making plans to purchase boardshorts and take up surfing.
