I just got a $2500 grant, which means, roughly, I'm going to Australia for the summer.
Wow. Now that I have all the money, I really don't know what to do. It's that same fear of when you've been preparing for something and then it comes. I remember when I was 14, bragging to all my friends how I got to go to France for the summer. And when I got there, I cried I was so lonely. Reality is quite sobering. The Mineral Policy Institute wants to see the paper I wrote, and everyone is looking at me to produce something. Well, I'm waiting for winter to come in June (again).
But!!! How fascinating. A summer in Sydney, let's see how it goes. I've never lived in a big city before.
