These days are like riding a public bus, stop and start and stop and start. Morning laziness followed by 2 hours of tennis where I realize that yes, there are many players much better than me. I bike home again. Pace around the room and clean, bike back to campus, watch the Afro frat go through its induction rituals on the steps of Sproul, and then a bike ride up to the field next to Bowles, where Amy and I practice volleyball for an hour or so. I ran the 100 meter there as well, which turned out to be more pleasing than I thought: 11.13 seconds. My dad used to run it in 10 flat, and someday I'll get there.
I've decided to get a pair of skis and boots, and go up weekends to Tahoe.
I'm having a great time. I have a job, great friends, and a great school and athletic life. Can it get better?
