And a lot of it is pretty grim, so it's going behind a cut.
The Ukrainian ambassador shared the final texts that a Russian soldier sent to his mother. They are very sad and kind of chilling. It shows how badly the Russian government has lied to their soldiers, truly tragic.

There are reports of Russian troops puncturing holes in the fuel tanks of their vehicles to immobilize them, also refusing to perform artillery strikes on civilian populations. There have been troop defections. And as I said in my previous post, over 6,000 RUSSIANS arrested for protesting the war.

This is a very interesting piece from the BBC: a background of Putin's inner circle. SURPRISE! Pretty much no background in military and logistics! Lots of friends from the KGB and St. Petersberg and family friends. In other words, cronies and yes men. And one woman.

And one horrible bit of news that I'm not linking an article to. When the invasion started, there was a radiation spike when the northern invasion force swept through the Chernobyl area as it's right next to Belarus, this was largely attributed to stirring up a lot of radioactive dirt with the heavy vehicles. It was expected to dissipate and return to more normal levels over time.
Well, the Russians are deliberately attacking a nuclear power plant FROM ALL SIDES. It was on fire after being shelled. It burned for several hours, apparently the Russians were driven off and firefighters were able to extinguish the fires.
Artillery. Shelling THE LARGEST NUCLEAR POWER PLANT IN EUROPE.
Fortunately the fire was at a training building. And has been extinguished.
But they hit one of the reactor buildings.

As a final bit for the night, Ukraine forces have reported the death of a Russian Major General in combat, Pravda news sources in Russia have also reported this, so it's pretty much confirmed. This is definitely going to be a pretty serious blow to their effort in terms of their command and control structure, as if it wasn't shaky enough as it was.
But considering Putin sent in a Chechen murder squad to kill the President of Ukraine, a very small amount of payback for Russia. Reportedly he has survived three assassination attempts thus far because RUSSIAN INTELLIGENCE IS FEEDING UKRAINE INFORMATION.
