The Good Things!
- I am a huge TARDIS/Doctor shipper so all their interaction was like sweet glee-filled crack for me
- I actually teared up when they said goodbye
- I mean, this is the first time we've seen Eleven cry. It was brilliant, and Matt Smith cements his position as my favourite Doctor ever more firmly every episode.
- Uncle was hilarious. I especially liked when he and Auntie turned up behind the Doctor after he discovered the distress signals, and Uncle spent a good two minutes giving the camera the stink eye.
- Was Helena Bonham Carter too expensive for them or something? :p
- Is 'I'm a nurse' Rory's catchphrase now?
- And when is he going to remember his badass centurion training? As entertaining as his wigging out is, Rory should remember that once upon a time he stabbed a Cyberman through the brain.
- He is The Pretty One for sure, though. I am with the TARDIS forever on that one!
Okay, the bit with psycho!Rory really, really bothered me, almost to the point of spoling the rest of the episode. Maybe it's because I'm such a massive Rory fangirl, but I really really hope that that whole moment was just a hallucination caused by Mr House. Because I cannot conceive of a situation where Rory would hate Amy, much less want to kill her. Yes. He waited two thousand years for her. Do you know what this shows? That he would probably wait the fifty or so years he aged (going by what he looked like, anyway) waiting for her again. In fact, he would probably wait for her until he died WITHOUT going crazy and scrawling HATE AMY all over the walls in his own blood. Because what Rory is, right down in the bone of his character, is loyal. He stays with Amy and puts up with (let's face it) a hell of a lot because he loves her. We even see that in the episode when he runs after her instead of the Doctor: his first priority is always, always to protect her and there is no way he would turn on her with that amount of sheer hate.
Tl:dr didn't like grimdark Rory.
