This is the hour, this the battlefield
So for the two or three people who care, I finished Mass Effect 2.
Holy CRAP.
I cannot reccomend this game highly enough. I managed to lose only one team member and Diana Shepard (yes I named my Shepard after Wonder Woman don'tjudgeme) lived to the end and got the romance that she didn't get the first time around! Twenty-five hours and twenty-six minutes, and that game was worth every second of it. My fingers are sore and I haven't gotten any work done at all, but you know what? Being Shepard again was awesome. I can't wait for the next installment.

Shepard (after a reporter tries to accuse her of letting humans die to save aliens during the first game's epic finale):
"The Alliance lost eight cruisers during the battle. Shenyang. Emden. Jakarta. Cairo. Seoul. Cape Town. Warsaw. Madrid. And yes, I memorized them all. Everyone in the 5th Fleet was a hero. The Alliance owes them medals. The Council owes them a lot more. And so do you."
Thane (assassin and resident badass):
Amonkira, Lord of Hunters, grant that my hands be steady, my aim be true, and my feet swift. And should the worst come to pass, grant me forgiveness.
Shepard gives a motivational speech:
Shepard: It'd take a real badass to get back to Urdnot, though.
Scout: I can do it!
Shepard: *scoffs* You? I said a badass, not a scout sitting there whining like a quarian with a bellyache!

I am the very model of a scientist salarian. I've studied species turian, asari, and batarian.
I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).
My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian, I am the very model of a scientist salarian.
EDI (the ship AI): Ah, I have access to the defensive systems. Thank you, Mr. Moreau. Now you must reactivate the primary drive in engineering.
Joker (pilot): Argh! You want me to go crawling through the ducts again.
EDI: I enjoy the sight of humans on their knees.
[Joker stares at EDI, long and wary]
EDI: That was a joke.
"We have to give everything....even if that means our lives. We will stop at nothing! We will fight for the lost!"
