My Vacation Begins
I'm having so much fun.
I requested this weekend off. When I put my time in my boss said "I'll give you the time off. You worked hard. You deserve it."
I timed it so that I would have Friday off the same day as J's Friday off. This is also the first Saturday I've had off since March. This has been a very difficult, stressful year for us. It's nice to have some quality couple time, enjoying each other's company, laughing, joking and touching base for the first time in forever.
Last night through this morning one of those awesome cold fronts moved through. It was cold, dark and rainy. We were out running errands when it came through. We stopped for sushi, then went to the store. J bought some beer and I bought O'Doul's. I haven't had one in years. We relaxed and snuggled and......well. We were conked out by 9 p.m.
Very early this morning, on a day I would usually be working, I was awakened by the wind and rain hitting the windows. I rolled over, snuggled up with J and went back to sleep.
Ahhhhhhhh!
Monday morning I'll be on a plane to Ohio. Still no word from my brothers about a holiday gathering. Today I'll call them one at a time and make arrangements to see them individually.
