listening
It just occured to me something else that I find very satisfying and gives that wonderful feeling of accomplishment and adventure.
Last year I worked as part of the National Census team, going out to collect the forms from people or replace missing ones ect. Just getting to be walking around outside was very nice, espcially as it was so sunny at the time was good, but on a few occasions I got to talk and listen to some people.
I never would have met these people another way and I probably wont again, but just for a few minutes or an hour I got to listen to different people from different places and it was brilliant. It wasn't about agreeing with their point of view or offering any opinion of my own. Just listening to them, their history was a lovely experience.
