The last few days have been mainly hanging out with my good Toronto friends and browncoats. Had an awesome shindig on Sunday with the local coats, the last time I'll see most of them until I come back round here at the end of the summer.
I'm glad I decided to spend my last few weeks here catching up with everyone, instead of working. I can enjoy xmas and then get work in BC, I wont know anyone there when I arrive and a job is always a good way to go about meeting some people.
Time is running out though, and it feels like there's hardly any time between now and 2nd January when I leave. Earlier I had been looking forward to moving, seeing a new place, meeting new people and potentially getting some more work experience and money. While I'm still looking forward to that I've made some wonderful friends here that I'mn going to miss a great deal!
I'll be looking forward to coming back next summer and I definitely have good reason to try and get residancy in Canada. As much as I love England and I have my family and friends there, it's a place I can always return too and stay in, right now, it's like I'm starting a new part of my life, one which so far has been the happiest and most fun I can remember.
Even if the rest of my canada trip isn't as good, these last 3 months have been completely worth it. Even if I get residency and end up living in Vancouver, instead of Toronto, those friends will totally be coming over to visit, and I'll be going there too. I would love the opportunity to drive round the provinces, canadian roadtrip soudns great to me!
I've met some great people on my volunteer productions too. Everyone has been friendly, interesting and helpful and made the experience a great deal of fun, also people I will be staying in touch with.
I'm getting to spend Xmas with one of my new and good friends this year too, a fan of many things I also love and a great person to go with it. It's my first Xmas away from home and I'll miss my family. Love you guys. Maybe soon you'll be able to come over and spend Xmas in Canada. :-) Thanks to the folks here though, who are going to make it a good one anyway.
