Wow, 12 hour days can certainly wear you down. It's been really fun working on the set, though occasionally disconcerting when people asked me what to do like I was in charge of things.
I was really nervous before I started, but once I was there I just felt completely comfortable and at home. I didn't always know where everything was, but I was confidant in keeping track of how the props were set out and resetting for takes.
I guess I gave a good impression of knowing what I was doing since other people started asking me what I wanted done. I did really like it though, and now I just need to build up my experience and hours and then I'll be able to get paid.
I wore my cool new Serenity bandana too and every day someone mentioned it, that they'd seen the film or loved the show. It's so neat, including the actor who was in the production, he was really nice and had a good chat with him at lunch. Turned out we watched the same psychoanalysis by chocolate you can get in New Zealand.
I got a rather nice kiss goodbye from him too. *g*
Next week I've got 6 days of work on the next production. I'm going to love my sleep!! Also Jamie rented Firefly so I can now watch the whole show through with her too!
The two actors who were on set were really nice too, I had a nice chat to both of them during lunch, Sarah Manninen played the lead, she was a real trooper with being covered in goo and having things drop on her head. The guy was Stefano, can't remember his last name, I'll find it out, but he was great too, and loves Serenity. *G*
