1 we are still in 11th Place behind West Bloomfield.
2 we beat West Bloomfield by .3 in Music (individual, ensemble and effect 1-2) by 41.45/60 to 41.15/60
3 we beat West Bloomfield by .2 in Individual Marching and .4 in Ensemble Marching. Our Marching average was 13.05/20 while theirs was 12.75/20
4 West Bloomfield beat us by 2.3 points in “Visual Effect”. We got our lowest Visual Effect score of the season last night (11.3/20. We got a 12/20 back at the first competition of the season)
5 In order to jump West Bloomfield, we need to beat them by 1.7 points AND we can not score below a minimum of 69.20 (this is assuming that we only go to the Huron Valley invitational)
6 Rumors are spreading that we MAY go to the Durand Invitational on Saturday afternoon and then go to Huron Valley that night. Not only would this likely help our overall position, but also it means less time wearing us out in practice and more time on the bus. This currently is unconfirmed, if Lewis doesn’t say something tomorrow we probably won’t be doing this.
7 Rumors are also spreading that we will have practice on our day off on Friday. This rumor sounds like it’s probably true. I can hear the groaning already…
8 Michelle Abbott will not be at Huron Valley next week.
I’ll save my holy preaching for later. But we are seriously on the edge of the dome right now. We are closer than we have been in years. Would a Friday practice suck major ass and cause a coup de’tate? Probably. Would going to two sites next week be hard? Of course, but the judges don’t lie, and 4 out of 7 judges thought we were better than West Bloomfield this week… now lets go prove it to the other 3…
