back to school
It's been exactly 10 months since i successfully journaled anything on here. Each time I try and it fucks up...i just give up. I figure this is more for me than it is for ya'll anyway. It's nice to type thoughts.
Today was my first day at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hey, you don't have to believe me if you don't want to but...it's true. I started my first class for the Holistic Healing Certificate at Red Rocks Community College. The campus is beautiful and so is the half an hour drive I get to take. Today I started my Herbology Class. It ruled! We even got to experiment with ginger root today. When I got home I made a cinnamon and ginger decoction. I mixed it with chai and a bit of honey. I can't wait to learn more and Herbology 2 is going to be even more interesting. I'm really looking forward to my neurolinguistic programming class though. I saw at least 7 24s today. And the address at my 'rents house is 2480, of course.
Tomorrow I start my full time job at Whole Foods. I hope that this will further my knowledge in the profession I will choose, especially in Herbology though. I'll also be working part time at my old job at Hot Topic. With no rent or bills to pay I'm going to be able to save money like crazy. It still blows my mind that a month ago I was in the complete opposite position...living paycheck by paycheck, in gov't housing, with a roommate stealing from me. Now I live in one of the richest, fastest growing counties in the nation. Did you know that Lubbock has been rated the 2nd most conservative city in the USA? I'll have to get the source on that before you believe me though.
Well, I better go to sleep so I can be alert on orientation day. Apparently, it's brainwashing day. It's discourage us from joining a union day. wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooooooooo. oh well 9/hr and ill study my herbology notes instead of listen to the nonsense.
