quite a trip
SO, it's 4am and I just got home from taking my brother to downtown DC with my mom to drop him off at the chinabus to ride back to NY. I drove. As soon as we got to the bus a naked (homeless i suppose) black woman was in the middle of the street. she walked over to the car...my window of course and said something to me about being brooke shields. my brother says she was talking about me being brooke shields. i thought she was talking about herself being brooke sheilds. we drove up and parked and she continued to walk around in a big circle in the middle of the street in a fast pace. she was singing some sort of song and the beat is still in my head. it was nonsense im sure because well who knows. maybe it is a real song. real? it was real. i think. 2 police cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance drove up to take care of her. i suppose she needed some time to come off the trip she was on. she had a crazy look in her eyes and i swear i heard her say something about it being her birthday in the song she was singing. the bus leaving at 2am was full so we waited with my brother until 3am for the next bus to leave. i got to see a rat. a fucking real big rat scurrying around the street. that's cool. ive never seen a rat on the street before.
today i found my savings bonds that my gma has been sending me for a few years. i may be able to come back to lubbock sooner after i cash them in. so maybe ill get to go to ny this coming weekend. that would be cool.
and now im tired. actually fucking tired. i think ill read a bit and then go pass out.
