Surfing competition?

Charmcaster had arrived at the beach in a solferino tankini which she was quite flattered with. Being able to bend objects into existence was really just an amazing thing to her. She wasn't used to this kind of thing, just letting lose and relaxing.

Especially after what happened to her, she knew this was her chance to have some fun. As she walked down to the water her hair flowed in the breeze. This would be the first time anyone would see Charmcaster with her hair let down.

She contemplated getting into the water and trying her luck at some surfing.

Max was in pursuit of the stick, which had ended up a good ways away from where Eric had thrown it...Eric, after all, had a very good throwing range. Passing by Charmcaster, he barked at her as if to say "Hai, Charmy! Coming through!", then bounded off to retrieve his target.

Charmcaster seemed content with her idea, surfing was such a good idea right now. She heard a bark. It could only be Max. She recognized that bark all to well now. She turned to look back; this meant Eric was here too. She was a little wary of him since she thought he was going to cramp her style as usual. So in order to avoid contact she simply got back to her own devices so to speak.

Everything was going well until Charmcaster realized she wasn't wearing her coat, which meant she didn't have her spell book on her. She frowned at this fact as she continued to look over the ocean.

The beach party concept did make him slightly uncomfortable. In the past it wouldn't have at all, but it had been so long since he'd well, worn anything as revealing as his marigold colored swimsuit with a splattering of black stars on the legs. He inwardly acknowledged how pathetic that was.

He really didn't know that many people in Nautilus and he realized that for survival, that needed to change. He sat his hand on his hip and the maw in his palm yawned open to scan for mana signatures.

Ugh. The dog was here.

And...and there was the significantly stronger, magical aura he was relieved to sense. He followed it until he saw her. He swallowed and waved to her with his other hand.

"Nice to see you up and about again, Lovely Chatmcaster. May I join you?"

Charmcaster turned to face the male voice which spoke to her. To her surprise it was Darkstar, in a swimsuit waving to her. She eyed him down. There was no doubt, he certainly was attractive, very attractive. But Charmcaster couldn't help but notice his swimsuit which seemed somewhat out of place.

"Er...sure" She let out a small giggle. "Do you surf starboy?" She just couldn't help but point it out with a sly smile.

He smiled at her and gestured to his board shirts.

"I like to have a theme, myself. Surfing? I haven't ever tried. I was always more of a jet ski person. Yourself?"

He closes the distance between them and stands beside her, golden eyebrow raised in playful curiosity.

She laughed at his reply of having a theme. Now she had a nickname for him. " Never been surfing, but it sounds fun. " She said as she shrugged. She knew what surfing was like but she had never experienced it. After all she wasn't a conventional earth girl.

" I'm more of a flight girl myself. " She loved being able to fly, and really there was nothing cooler.

His eyes practically sparkle, recalling happy memories of the past.

"Ah, yes, flight. There is nothing else like it in the end, it there? It is so different from everything else. So...freeing. Do you...fly yourself?"

" Hm Of course. " She said as she flashed a smile.

She turned her attention back to the ocean. " maybe this can be more interesting. " She had a better idea than simply surfing.

Darkstar catches the impish glint in her eye and her smile. He shoots her back a wicked grin.

"Really? Have anything in particular in mind, lovely?"

" We could always glide on the water. But hey who knows. " She said before she gently pushed Darkstar and then kicked off the ground and began to levitate. "Come on starboy" she teased playfully.

He smiled impishly up at her, feigning offense at the push.

"Well, I suppose I'll just have to accept that challenge."

He floated up after her, a light golden aura shimmered around his body as tiny
flecks of golden energy flickered off of him.

"Shall, we then, Lovely Charmcaster?"

"Okay...ready? 1...2...Go!" Just before she can shout three she already flies off.

She's quite playful about it at the moment. Might be that good mood really kicking in. However it's not like she'd play fair anyway.

He really didn't expect her to play fair, so when she takes off at two, he follows her lead.

"Three!"

He clucked his tongue at her teasingly.

"Oh, Lovely, I'd advise you not to try to pull a fast one on someone who can keep up with you."
