Who: Everyone invited to Christmas Town! What: A visit to Christmas Town! Where: ~*Christmas Town*~ When: BACKDATED to shortly after this post. Notes: Action or prose is peachy. Make new threads, tag around, go crazy.
A change of scenery was good. After spending more than a year within Nautilus' realm, some of the recommendations from close friends to venture outside of the castle more often just...seemed to fit. Thomas had no problem in trying; he needed the shove. There needed to be some time spent away from the city, and traveling in a group such as this one was all very new to him. But it wasn't bad.
There was just something very unnerving about the area they started off in.
The sound of Axel's voice caught his attention, however, as he looked at the triangular-shaped door with its internal coolness wafting out into the air.
And it was dark.
The castle master leaned forward slightly as he peered down. "...Where...is the floor...?"
Honestly, there couldn't have been a better time for a vacation.
It had been ages since Sora had been to another world. Over two years, he realized - three, if the time that had passed when he went back home counted (and, to be honest, he wasn't sure if or how it did). Way too long, anyway.
So he didn't mind at all when the group ended up in a dark forest instead of a snowy city. Landing in the wrong place was just part of the adventure...and besides, he wasn't going to complain about seeing Halloween Town again. He was almost tempted to stray from the group for a few minutes and go take a look around the town itself, but he decided against it. Wandering around alone didn't sound like much fun.
He also didn't seem to notice that his sudden wardrobe change, either - after all, he's used to it, even if it has been awhile
( ... )
Leaning back, the boy made way for the keyblade wielder, protesting slightly in the process.
"But-- "
The rest of that thought never made it into a completely formed sentence because it took Thomas several seconds to realize that Sora didn't actually look like Sora. His eyes went wider than usual as he panicked quietly at the sight of his friend's physical deformities and his daredevil plunge into the deep deep dark dark deep dark pit.
"Sora!!" He finally cried out, scrambling forward, clinging to the tree's door frame. "...Oh dear..." Nothing but black. No sign of Sora anywhere. Not good. Another minute was spent floundering over the disappearance before he took a breath and leaned in once more. "...Sora?? Sora!!! Oh please tell me you're okauAAAAAAAAAAAHHhhh-- !!!"
Well. That was one way Thomas sabotaged his own entry. He lost his grip.
He'd turned himself human when they'd arrived, but hung back. The last thing he wanted to do was go jumping through doors into nowhere. Especially when the jump ended with you vanishing into thin air.
Demyx really didn't see what the big deal was. Sure, he wasn't as enthusiastic as Sora about the jump, but after he and Thomas went through he head over to the entrance as well. "It's really not that bad! There's just a bunch of snow at the bottom."
He has a moment to wonder why Axel had picked Christmas Town, with his hatred of snow and all, before he went ahead and jumped into the tree as well.
Axel, for his part, had decided to hang back and to get everyone else through before making the leap himself. Sure, the fall might be a little different, but it wasn't like it was a death trap. Hesitating would only make the whole thing worse.
And so he looked to Sideswipe, abbreviated eyebrows raised. "'Less terrifying'?" he quoted. "What's so terrifying about jumping?" A tilt of his head indicated the hole through which three had disappeared. "They all managed it just fine."
True, Thomas had fallen rather than jumped, but the end result was the same.
Allowing a little smirk to cross his face, he asked the Cybertronian, "Don't tell me you're afraid of heights."
Isa was also hanging back and waiting everyone else to go first. He had positioned himself right next to Axel, and just stood there with his arms crossed and an fairly sour expression on his face.
If you were to ask him about it, he would deny it, but his posture made it seem as though he was trying to guard Axel from any perceived threats.
But Demyx was already gone. He made an annoyed sound under his breath, before turning to face the redhead. "It's a fall through darkness, what am I supposed to call it?"
At that last comment, though, he scowled, then reached back to try and tug Axel forward. "Fine, then you go first."
The Nobody allowed himself to be tugged, but not all the way. Oh no. First he had to let out little laugh.
"Man, you really are scared."
The look on his face was hard to mistake. It promised much, much teasing and joking and all sorts of other things at Sideswipe's expense. An intentional reveal, on Axel's part: he wanted Sideswipe to know that he'd never let him live it down.
After all, Axel wasn't about to jump in without seeing Isa through first.

"Isn't there some other, less terrifying way?"
