Who: Shadow!Xemnas - VS - Aya Brea, Garrus Vakarian, Nash Lajke, and Xigbar (with a special guest appearance by Xemnas)
What: Xemnas is a heartless jerk and basically forces a selected party to beat the shadow silly whether they wanted to be involved or not.
Where: Western District
When: Uuuuh I don't know anymore
Warnings: Nothing too crazy, I'm going by KH standards.
Notes:
Lol The fog was consistent, thick enough to cover the whole city but thin enough to maintain a faint hue of light which made all of the surrounding buildings and structures look formless. Minor shadows crept soundlessly along the ground while the red skies above darkened around the two lone sources of light set high over the district. And here the same figure that was shown earlier on the Network appeared in the middle of the warped landscape, its attention focused upon the heart-shaped moon thinly veiled by the unnatural mists, arms raised.
"There it is. A most familiar, comforting sight." Xemnas kept his gaze on the other as he approached, biding his time. After everything that had been said and done, their business was not finished yet. The Shadow knew this just as well as he did, after all. "Although the placement is...odd, being sequestered in one district alone, the sky makes the presentation of each moon all the more...dramatic."
"What an educated observation," said the First. It was far from being a compliment. "But you are wasting your time."
A faint chuckle echoed across the grounds. "But isn't it your time as well?"
"Yes. I know."
"Now there is a tone you don't hear every day! I can tell you've had practice." The Shadow turned to face the Nobody, its faint smirk changing into an empty, cruel smile. "Especially when you find yourself with so many miscellaneous connections, it is impossible to keep what you use to have. Whether these have changed you for better or for worse, that can never be truly said, now, can it?"
It waited for no answer as the Nobody kept walking toward the place where it stood. "Not only that, Nautilus was kind enough to grant you several precious gifts. Perhaps it even pitied you, being a sentient city and all." It shrugged nonchalantly. "I can go on. There is so much more to go through..."
Instead of continuing, it just held the hardened look of the Nobody, one that it could easily share since their faces were the same. Suppressing a sigh, it arched a brow at Xemnas. "...Feel free to stop me whenever you want to, Superior."
"...No."
"Saying this will only let me indulge further knowledge about you. I do have access to the Network- "
"I do not care nor can I be forced to care. I will not have that. And, to conclude this particular chapter in a story full of nonsense, I have one last thing to say."
The First raised an arm, pointing a finger at the Shadow. His own act of defiance.
"You...are not me."
Silence fell over them.
The Shadow stared back, visibly stunned, a strain of disbelief hidden among its own stoic features.
"But...this is the truth. Why won't you accept?"
Xemnas, taking up a more suitable stance, replied calmly.
"You wanted an answer. You let me take the initiative. You cannot regret the decision, and neither can I. We already have made it this far. There is no turning back for either of us. And as myself, I can openly refuse and deny it, for it is my choice. Besides this, I want to see what you will do." He then smirked. "Call it...an experiment."
Another wordless look was given in regards to Xemnas' choice, but the Shadow soon mirrored the current expression worn. "...If this is what must be done..." As its voice trailed off, its form began to darken, yellowed eyes glowing brighter with every passing second. The darkness swirled, dancing about the humanoid form in a windless daze. Eyes then closed as its head tilted downward.
"Pride...certainly is your downfall."
What felt like a good handful of minutes actually took place in a matter of seconds. The perimeter around the site shook as a black explosion engulfed both the Shadow and the original in its wake like a dark ocean caving in on itself. And as it fell back into some degree of normalcy in a reality storm, the outcome didn't stop at just being bad.
It Got Worse.
