Who: The twins and V.
What: Q&A, probably on both parts.
When: Sometime last week, oh my god guys I’m sorry.
Where: Ground Zero.
Warnings: THE TWINS.
It would have been simple to find a specific reason for visiting Ground Zero, but V did not bother with one---not now. Reason enough had been established over a year ago, when Wheeljack had first invited him over. He knew that the door was always open (with the occasional exception for safety‘s sake) and knew (as well as anyone) how readily the inventor welcomed company and conversation. The others about only encouraged him to come by more often, since he’d have so much to hear; the lot in the laboratory were agreeable, amiable, and excitable, under ordinary circumstances.
V could converse comfortably with anyone he happed to encounter, and it was what he meant to do if he did not find the old engineer first. He would be happy to arrive, whoever he met---while warm enough for walking, the day was crisp and cold. Snow crunched underfoot, wisps of warm breath smoked out from his smile, and each breeze cut through his costume; he wanted real warmth.
He knocked at the door but did not wait for an answer, opting to step in, stamp the snow from his feet, and announce himself with a “Hello!” instead.
