Mitham was admittedly a little nervous. In his very short life he and adults usually didn't mix well. He didn't trust them, at least...not until coming here. This man, he wasn't even sure of his name yet, had a tone of authority to his voice that he'd not really come across here yet. All the adults he'd met had been friendly, didn't make him feel they thought they were better than he. This man didn't seem to do that, though until they were face-to-face he really couldn't be sure, but there was no mistaking the clear ring of authority in his voice
( ... )
Megatron slowly arched a brow. This human was very young, if he was any judge. Then again, so was Ms. Sumdac. He offered a smile - not quite kindly, but it certainly wasn't completely predatory either.
May not have been completely predatory, but it still made Mitham a bit uncomfortable. Still, he was here for a purpose so he pushed back the unease and tried to put on a little smile.
"Mitham, sir." He nearly bit his tongue for adding "sir", it was a habit he was working on breaking. Not out of disrespect necessarily, but for finding of sense of self and leaving his past behind. "I don't think I've caught your name yet."
Megatron gets an odd look at calling him "mister". It's so...backwards from what he's always heard, always expected that he can't help but give the man a look as though he's just lost his mind.
"Megatron? Are you a..." He had to pause to think of the right term, make sure he got it right. "Cybertronian?" He couldn't imagine a Human would be called "Megatron" at least, not unless that Human was wearing a mask like Cris when he wanted to be called Red Mist.
"Well," Mitham took a breath and gave his newest teacher a shrug. "I know how it works, I can do a little bit, right now. From what I understand I can do anything so long as I have the strength and concentration for it. I know you have to have a clear image in your mind of whatever you're doing or it won't turn out right. Umm..." He gave another shrug indicating that he was finished.
"Yes," he replied, waving a hand casually, "I am a Cybertronian. However, interacting with organics is much easier when I'm their size."
He eyed Mitham up and down, seeming very much like a teach or headmaster evaluating a student. Which was what he was, in a sense. "That is the heart of it. The basics. It is somewhat difficult to explain of course, but you have the basic idea. Of course, some of it is not simply creating something out of nothing, but bringing something from somewhere else. The possibilities are endless."
There was another pause while he considered. "Let us begin. Have you created or changed anything at all? Give me a demonstration of what you're capable of."
Mitham took a breath and considered for a moment. He could make food, or small items, though he could never say whether the food would turn out tasting good or not. The most he could do was take the form of a cat, but it took everything out of him leaving him too exhausted to Bend anymore of a good part of the day. He wasn't sure it would be smart to wipe himself out right at the beginning of a lesson so he opted for making something.
He concentrated on his hand and a shadowy image began to appear. He pointedly made sure he thought of how the food item should taste as well as look. When he was finished he offered the large frosted cookie to Megatron with something of a sheepish shrug.

"Indeed. And what is your name?"

He settled back in his chair and steepled his fingers. "Tell me how much you know of bending."
