Who: Kyd Wykkyd and Starscream. What: The final good-bye, and their final game. Where: Pineapple House. When: Friday evening. Warnings: Prepare to weep.
From behind the door, what can be heard can only be described as a cacophony of voices all in turbulence, debating, chattering on and on all melding together a busy street of consciousnesses passing by.
All at once there is silence, and the door simply unmakes itself, folding back until there is nothing left. Inside, Starscream turns his expression hard, annoyed at first. When he sees who has come to see him, he softens, a twitching, hesitant smile playing on his face.
So rarely does his first come to see him like this anymore.
Something is wrong.
Damon. He stands, moving over to stand and look down at him.
Abruptly, Kyd Wykkyd wraps his arms around Starscream as he leans down. He holds on tight, burying his face into the Air Commander's shoulder.
I'm sorry I but I'm I'm really proud to be
He says nothing, not yet. Eventually, he pulls away, rubbing his eyes; he tries desperately to just. Not cry, but he's always been the crybaby when he was still in HIVE Academy.

"I have to go back to Jump City."
Not home. He isn't even sure if it is. But he needs to go back there.
"But I'm not the only one. And... and that's good now. That you're not alone. You have friends, Starscream. You have a family."
That's true, and Kyd Wykkyd is happy for him. He's proud of him. He can remember, when all they had were each other, and now it's become much more than that. And that's good.
He looks up and smiles widely.
"Y-yeah. You were first... the first grown-up to--"
The first one to care.
"I'm gonna go, but... but I kinda have a favor to ask."
Damon tightens his arms and tries, tries so hard to just not cry. "You think we can... play a game?"
It's so hard for him to adequately express emotions. How stupidly attached he'd grown to them. To Damon particularly. He remembers thinking it was so odd that a human resembled him so. Uncanny.
He squeezes tighter.
"Yeah... we can play whatever you want, wherever you want." He could simply teleport them to any location. He hates to think of it but this is hardly the location for...
There's a lot that they can do down there, he thinks. Stupid games, he never had the opportunity to play. Games were not usually permitted the way Brother Blood wanted them.
No, never games, but now--
Right now, it's what he wants. And he can think of when they were growing closer, even when he had just been okay with being a subordinate; a pet at most.
"You'll never escape the CLAW!" He howls, giving the kid a decent enough head-start. The trees make it easy to lose him, and Starscream pauses, peering around.
"Come out! Come on! Fight like a Decepticon! You'll never defeat me."
A challenge waiting to be met. A last chance for victory.
He takes that moment to spring up and grab Damon, pulling him down into the leaves. A victorious cackle rising up to echo around the trees.
"Foolish- fool! You have fallen into my trap!" The Seeker wrestles with him, ruffling his hair viciously. Damon still has a decent fighting chance, though.
He'll try to ignore that ache for now.
The undeniable knowledge that this is the last time.

He can think of how many friends he's lost, and how many friends he still has. And those he wants to say good-bye to.
Sari. Squall. Blitzwing. Wally. Batman.
But it's Starscream he owes it to the most.
"Starscream..."
Kyd Wykkyd looks up at him. "Dad."

his time he doesn't argue it. He just kneels down and touches Wykkyd's arm.
"Damon." This time he uses his voice, head drifting to one side faintly, curious.
"What's wrong?"
Everything is wrong. The world is about to crash down again.
Everything will fade and be reborn again and he will drift
drift
drift
One and two. Three and four on the waves.

He's going home.
Back to sleep.
At first, denial.
No! You can't go! You can't leave me! You were the first one-
Arms circle Damon and pull him close.
It's not fair- it's just not fair.
He can feel his jaw tighten, head aching painfully.
Please don't leave me...
But he knows there is nothing. Nothing he can do to stop him fading.
I am proud to be- what is this word so foreign but it seems right.
You father? Am I your father?

Why do I have to let go so much?
Why do I have to
Let you all go

It was okay then. It's better now.

To Forests it is.
Tink-crack!
The dappled light of the forest fading into evening. The Air Commander takes a deep breath, looking around, his hand still closed around Damon's.
Breathe. He closes his eyes.
He pauses...
"Oh no... Damon..." Suddenly grabbing his wrist as if in pain.
"Damon! No! It's happening again! Run! It's-"
Dramatic pause.
"The CLAW."
Reply
Oh no. OH NO. He knows this one.
"Aw, no, not the CLAW--"
Without using any of his abilities, Wykkyd just takes a run for it, trying desperately to hide his amusement.

However, much to his amusement, it's extremely difficult to keep himself quiet -- if only because he's chuckling so much behind a hand.
"Hmmhmm--!"
Holding out one gloved hand, a pillow forms in it. Waiting on Starscream's approach, Kyd Wykkyd chucks the pillow at his head from above.

Until he's beamed in the head with a pillow.
Immediately he goes stiff and then crumples to the ground.
"Arrghhhhhhuuhhhh he got me!" Some dramatic death throes later, he lies still, playing dead.

When Starscream stays still, though, Kyd Wykkyd begins to get a little worried. He leaps out from the branches and lands quietly.
Slowly, he makes his approach to Starscream.
And pokes him with a stick.

And it never fails to make him burst out laughing. Wykkyd squirms and giggles, trying to smother the noise of his own laughter.
Finally, he reaches up and pokes Starscream in the armpits.
"I'll take you down with me, Air Commander!"
