Who: Rip van Winkle, !open
When: From Sunday evening until someone kicks or drags the mopey vampire out.
Where: Prison, Southern District
What: Guilt-ridden over her attack on Wally, Rip sneaks into jail to sort out her problems in a Bend-free environment.
Wally would be all right; that was the important thing. And leaving him in the care of Derek and America would be better for him; Rip wasn't sure that when the boy woke up, if staying around him would make his fragile condition worse.
But it still didn't make the situation all right with Rip. She'd started practicing these powers to protect herself, and instead had accidentally ended up nearly losing Wally forever. And she still didn't know how to stop herself from the return of the nightmare-induced Bending.
Terrified it might happen again - and maybe this time to Derek - Rip had promptly informed Miles Edgeworth of her intentions to sit in jail until....until whenever. Until she could figure out how to unBend, until Wally was acting like his old self again, until the raw guilt went away, until Tony came back...she didn't know. But she'd done something terribly wrong, and, in Rip's mind, something that deserved to be punished.
So without a word, without fanfare or messaging ahead, Rip walked to the Southern prison, and entered. The layout was at once familiar: she'd come here once before, also voluntarily. But this time the location was different, the jailer was different.
But her cell was unoccupied. Without a word, she pulled open the door, shut it behind her, and sat down on the bunk.
At least this way, the nightmares would stay nightmares.
