Ginko had been taking one of his many, many meandering walks around the city. He never had any particular destination in mind but was always careful and mindful of his surroundings. He was still trying to catalogue the various different types of plant life that existed in Nautilus. One had to 'know what was normal to know what was not normal

“Hello!” Anomie calls back, distracted from her playing with the flowers.
“Oh!” She looks at the boggles first with surprise, then wariness, then interest and something akin to delight, “The boggles like you!”
Setting her bundle of flowers aside, Anomie swings down from the tree, her boots thumping on the soft ground as she lands. Tilting her head at Ginko, Anomie asks, “Why do the boggles like you?”
He watched Anomie swing from the tree, landing with ease. She was graceful about it, for someone who looked like they were in their 20s. It wasn't so surprising, considering that Anomie seemed to spend a lot of time outdoors. She also resembled a child far more than an adult, both in personality and antics.
"Don't know," he lied.
Time to change the subject. "You're decorating the forest?"
Climbing trees isn’t much different from climbing buildings. It might actually be easier, with branches to help move up and down. In The City, Anomie rarely used the streets, because she was boggle-like and it is easier to get around without being seen. But there aren’t trees in the bog-lands. Not really.
“Oh. Okay.” She accepts the lie easily. Why would anyone lie about whether boggles like them?
“Yes!” She nods enthusiastically and grins broadly, looking around at her handy-work.
“I like flowers! They’re pretty! Do you like flowers?”
Of course he liked flowers; he liked, or at least accepted, all aspects of nature. What he liked more, though, was seeing other people taking an active interest in the world around them.
Anomie always has an active interest in the world around her. Unless it was boring. But the outside is never boring. There are flowers and trees and boggles and mud and oceans and corpses and all kinds of fun and exciting things to play with! Or eat!
She tilts her head at the question. Would she like help? Does she need help? Maybe?

"Yeah," he nodded.
"Would you like help?"
Nothing else to do today, anyway.
