Didn't really take all that long to find Terra. Not that he really knew where to look, but Wally was the fastest boy alive and all. He took his time, stopping to make a few sandwiches and play with Plas's squirrels along the way. By the time he found Terra, he was humming his own theme song, which he had perfected these last few months, and in quite high spirits.

He spotted the girl and sneaked behind her. "So do you like pretending to be grumpy, or can people's faces actually get stuck like that? You know, cause Jinx used to say mine would get stuck, but I still have a stunning range of charming expressions."

For a moment, Terra was simply stunned. Did this idiot even realize what she meant to do to him? If he was really a Titan, had he heard what she was capable of?

Well, she'd smarten him up pretty quick.

Before he could move on to another inane sentence, Terra shifted the ground beneath his feet to trip him, then summoned a boulder to "catch" his fall. She wasn't someone to be underestimated.

"I mean, maybe my face got stuck in permanent good-looking after aaaaaAAAH!"

Wally flailed at his sudden loss of balance. Well then. She apparently meant it when she said she intended to crush him. Gee, what was it with people from his world wanting to maim him? First Wykkyd, then Jinx for a while, apparently, an evil-but-not-really-him Jericho, and this girl too. Well. He made friends with Wykkyd, Jinx, and Rip despite the death threats/attempts, and Wally believed he could do the same here.

It was fortunate his speed was mostly back- the entire falling process was almost... lazily slow. It took him little more than another second to bend the boulder into a fluffy down mattress. He landed in a flurry of feathers.

"Bleh," he groaned, sitting up and plucking a feather off his tongue. "Should've made memory foam."

Again, Terra hesitated in disbelief. She knew what bending was, and she could do it a little thanks to Slade's training, but she could not do it that fast. It was like he hadn't concentrated at all!

So Terra was going to have to hit him hard and fast, from all directions. He couldn't multitask that well, right? Worth a shot.

Terra raised her arms. The ground beneath Kid Flash broke away and rose up, while a barrage of medium- to large-sized rocks hurtled towards him in all directions. She let this continue while rebuilding her energy. When she felt up to it, Terra broke the platform and let Kid Flash fall. The pieces of the platform as well as all the rocks still in the air zeroed in and fell on top of him.

Then she broke off her own piece of earth and floated above the wreckage. If he broke out, he was not going to come straight for her. That was for certain.

Wally is taking this fight very seriously. fastaskenyans November 6 2009, 03:57:47 UTC
Whilst Terra was floating on her rock, Wally was making his way through the Krusty Krab. The falling rocks earlier were a bit of a challenge to get around. It was good, in a way, he was actually getting to test his speed in something other than running. He still didn't like falling though- he'd definitely need to work on finding ways to stop that from being an issue.

He set a relatively casual running pace back to Terra, carting with him a milkshake and a bag of burgers.

"That was a nice move back there," he managed through his chewing, re-appearing through the debris. He swallowed. "Gonna have to pick up the pace a bit though."

He took a long sip from his milkshake and paused. "Oh. Hey, I totally forgot. You want one?"

I see that. xD ihasaflashlight November 6 2009, 04:22:15 UTC
What.

What.

Terra flashed through the last two minutes in her mind. She had seen him go down. There was no way he had escaped that! She had made sure--or thought she'd made sure...

Oh god, she was underestimating him. Hadn't Slade told her a million times never to do that, no matter what? Plenty of people obfuscated stupidity solely for the element of surprise, and while this kid didn't look smart enough to do that, he was still getting the upper hand. Plus, Terra hadn't considered the difference in their bending abilities whatsoever. This kid had been here months before her.

Thank god Slade wasn't here right now, seeing this.

So now what? Terra was losing not only her basic strength, but also the will to keep going. She was going to lose. She couldn't even remember why they'd started this fight; she'd only continued because it felt good ( ... )

Hey cool, she was actually going to take his offer? Sweet.

Of course, had Wally awoken to Nautilus just a day later, he would have known to be more wary when female opponents "accept" gestures of kindness. However, he didn't have such an experience to warn him of Terra's ulterior motive. He blinked when she strode up to him and reached for the bag.

Huh. She was reachable after all! Wally's elation at being able to help her was quickly cut off, however, by a fist connecting with his face. Caught off guard, he toppled backwards. Oooouch. Girl could really pack a punch. Wally rubbed his cheek before he realized something horrifying ( ... )

Well, she knew that was going to happen. He was faster than her no matter which way you sliced it. But victory was hers, for she had one burger clutched in the hand he hadn't grabbed, and he had several burgers scattered on the ground. And he may have dropped his milkshake.

She didn't look back to check. In fact, she didn't slow down at all until she'd made it back to her base of operations...which was a rock tent constructed around the chair she'd made a few days ago. She ducked inside, flopped onto her chair, and took a bite of her ill-gotten burger.

Not bad, but she preferred pizza.
