[Marian had started to feel rather useless lately, and while Skyfire would never say anything about it... She was starting to feel like a pest just hiding out in Ground Zero... So she decides to try and help out a bit by trying to clean up some outside... Staying inside and hiding away wasn't doing much for her state of mind either

[Marian shakes her head and looks a bit lost as she tries not to think about what happened to her.]

I just found my mirror a little while ago...

[She looks like she's feeling kind of guilty about not really searching for her friends when she 'came back'.]

[Marian is really just trying to be even a little useful and trying to work through her guilt... That said, she missed being around others, even if she wasn't quite ready to try seeking out or asking anyone to spend time with her yet.]

[Marian manages a small half hearted smile as she tosses another piece of junk on the small, but slowly growing pile of stuff she had picked up so far.]

[And about fifteen minutes later, here comes Dana. She's also got Ghost with her, riding on her shoulders.]

Hey, Marian! I brought a friend along, hope you don't mind.

[Marian gives her a small, yet half hearted smile as she dusts off herself and tries to make herself a bit more presentable.]

I don't mind at all... but... uh... speaking of friends... I... er...

[She hesitates a little, knowing that Dana wasn't fond of spiders... but she was worried...]

I know you... um... don't like spiders... but... ah... You haven't seen Charley around have you? ...I know he can look after himself and all... but...

[Dana, lie your butt off if you must about seeing him... He's likely fine, but Marian needs the reassurance... even if it's a bold faced lie.]

I'm sorry, but I haven't seen him. I wouldn't read too much into that, though, as I haven't been at the Welcome House much. He survived Airachnid, though, I'm sure he's fine. He has good survival skills.

[Ghost flows down Dana's arm and starts rubbing against Marian's leg and purring. She's so much better at comforting than a spider!]

[Marian just nods a little, trying not to worry too much. She trusts Dana not to lie to her and even if she hasn't seen him, it was nice to hear that she thought Charley was alright.]

Oh... I suppose you're right... but I still worry...

[She reaches down to give Ghost a little head rub as a 'hello'. She might not be totally used to the idea of 'pets' but thinking of it as having a friend living with you made it easier to handle.]

[Even though she much appreciates the gesture, Marian wouldn't consider comfort from Ghost 'better', just different.]

It's a natural reaction. I've felt that way about Ghost, too, and I'm pretty sure she just thinks I worry too much.

[Ghost meows in agreement. Silly big people, "pets" are the ones taking care of them, not the other way around.

[Dana doesn't answer Marian's question right away; instead, she reaches out to pet Ghost, absently.]

I've been feeling... not good, for a while. Like I've become a different person, and not a good one.
