2nd Oath... When he wanted his power back, this isn't what he meant. [Accidental Video]

May 13, 2012 08:39

[The feed starts just outside the Eastern District Welcome House, though it begins as audio only for the first few seconds. There's a rustle of fabic, a pained grunt and the device falls to the ground, the jolt activating the video portion.]

[When the comm stops sliding along the ground and stabilizes at a slight angle, Razer's lower half can be seen before he drops to his knees and in frame, looking quite ill. His expression becomes pained and suddenly he lurches forward, head and shoulders out of frame. There's a horrible wretching sound, disturbingly inhuman in nature. That goes on for a few seconds before Razer gasps and leans back into full view, one arm wrapping around his middle. Slowly, wisps of smoke begin to billow up past him from off screen.]

...can't...hold it in. Too much build-up.

[An unfamiliar robot kneels down beside him, placing one hand on his back in a gesture that's intended to be comforting. However, the pleasant near-monotone voice should come as familiar.]

Your bioreadings indicate that your assessment is correct. I would recommend that it would be safest to release the excess energy as soon as possible.

[He shuts his eyes tightly and though he fliches a little at the touch, he doesn't jerk away.]

It's going to keep coming back... I didn't realize...that it would do this. It infiltrated--

[A stab of pain cutting him off, Razer's eyes re-open, thin slits as he rocks forward and then back a little, other arm coming around his middle as well. Red trails of smoke are bleeding from the outer corners of his eyes.]

[There is a hint of worry in Aya's pleasant monotone.]

If it is to keep building up, then it is logical to release the excess now before your body breaks down when trying to contain the additional energy.

[Razer huffs before nodding once.]

Then keep behind me.

[His mouth pulls into a pained snarl, pointed teeth bared. Then he's lurching forward as though about to vomit, but instead of emptying the contents of his stomach, something akin to fire pours forth from his mouth. Razer is focusing it, forcing it out. The same demonic roar accompanies the blast, which goes a good deal farther this time, striking a nearby bench and incinerating it. As the energy flow dies off, he gasps and slumps down.]

Rrrgh. ...I despise this city.

[Aya doesn't respond at first. She's stayed behind him during the expulsion of the red energy, knowing better than to get in the way. After all, look what happened to that unfortunate bench.]

[She runs a few scans, looking over the results.]

Your bioreadings are stabilizing. I recommend that should you start to feel such a build up again, you release it as safely and swiftly as possible.

Noted, Aya. I--

[Razer stops. He's looking straight into the camera, eyes widening. Then he's grabbing the device up and hurriedly shutting it off. The feed ends a second later.]

((OOC: Razer's powers are coming back in bursts as a result of the city plummeting and bending becoming so very easy, but he's having trouble controlling his abilities. And yes, he is still in his civilian clothing. Aya's obviously having more luck than he is with this control of returning powers business...))

razer, aya
