The news about Orihime, though, shocked him into replying.]

THE LAST TIME WE DEALT WITH THE DARK AEON, ALL OF NAUTILUS' WAKENED SAVE THE ANGELII, ASHURA AND DEVAS WERE TRANSFERRED TO A COPY OF THE CITY, WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE THE DARK AEON ITSELF. ALL WERE RESCUED, AT THE TIME, SAVE THAT IT HAD BEEN VERY CLOSE.

I DO NOT HAVE A CLEAR ANSWER TO THAT, BUT I HOPE I AM MERELY MISTAKEN. [His tone suggests that he doesn't quite believe that, unfortunately.]

THOSE WHO HAD NOT BEEN STOLEN AWAY BY THE AEON CAME ABOARD THE CITY OF PILLOW, AND THE ANGELII AND ASHURA WENT IN INDIVIDUALLY TO BRING PEOPLE AWAY FROM THE DARK AEON, TRANSPORTING THEM TO PILLOW. THEN WE ENGAGED THE AEON IN BATTLE, BUT WERE IT NOT FOR THE DEVAS, THE OUTCOME WOULD PROBABLY NOT HAVE BEEN POSITIVE.

....AS FOR WHAT WE CAN DO AGAINST IT GIVEN OUR CURRENT STATE, I DO NOT KNOW... HOWEVER, IF WE ARE TO FIGHT AGAINST IT, KNOW THAT DEATH IS NOT WHAT YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT.

[He's not quite thrilled with the whole 'embodying their fears' bit, but he's faced some very rough hardships before, and come through strong... he was sure he could get through whatever this shitty Aeon threw at him. The answers might not be pleasant ones, but Sanji was thankful that Death was being honest about all this. He didn't need - or want - any sugarcoating.]

Hn. Is there any way to fight back against that... or are we shit outta luck with Bending almost gone, now?
