[Another typical morning. She scarcely flinches at all when she hears the distant sound of tinkling glass, brushing her teeth stoically. Looks like the newspaper is here. She spits out the toothpaste, rinses off her brush, and gives it a firm tap before leaving it in the holder. She's already dressed and ready to start the day, wondering if she should go tempt Suzaku into a jog around the city. She departs her room and heads for the front door to retrieve the normally delivered paper, taking it to the kitchen with her.]

[She reads as she eats her morning egg and rice, drinking her tea. It doesn't take her far to get to the Sleepbituaries. Shock passes over her face, then a flash of sorrow. Then anger.]

You idiot! You said you wouldn't do this again! You SAID you WOULDN'T!

[And he and Tatsuki both went to sleep the same week? That couldn't be coincidence, irrational as the thought may be. She's all set to stomp and fume when she catches the name at the end of the list. All her feigned fury leaves. Yukiko... It's like a punch to the stomach, taking all the wind out of her sails to leave a half-hearted attempt at a breeze.]

Yukiko...but...but you... ... I thought you were happy here...

[Her shoulders wilt as she quietly places the paper on the table, staring at it miserably. Without another word, she turns away, shuffling to the door and putting on her shoes, then zipping up her green jacket. At first she goes to Souji's. Initially it's to offer comfort, since both his girlfriend and best friend went to sleep, but the closer she gets, the more she realizes she relies on him to provide that comfort to her even more. He's stuck around the longest of anyone else from their world, so it about gives her a heart attack when she discovers he's not home. She even kicks in the door when he doesn't respond to her knocking, but to her relief, all his stuff is still there. Maybe he's just training. Um. She'll fix the door later. Sorry chief!]

[She's not sure what she would have done if he'd gone too. It would have been crushing to have all three just suddenly vanish on her like that. But she's still plenty depressed. Which is why she's at Furman's, sighing pathetically as she listlessly carves a double serving of filet mignon. Her appetite, at least, doesn't diminish when she's upset.]
