I'm . . . a bit occupied at the moment, actually. I've found a new Wakened, an Autobot, by the North Gate. He's . . . not in good shape. I'm leading him to Wheeljack's now.

Understood.
[A few minutes later, V will hear the approaching jet turbine before the headlights become visible around the corner. Then KITT rounds the corner of the building, noting with interest the new structure...]
[It doesn't appear to be much, at first glance---another entrance added to the rear of the museum; another great pair of double doors, broader than those at the front and equipped with brass pushplates instead of handles. V's waiting in front of them, although he steps aside at KITT's approach and gestures to the doors.]
. . . inside? [The AI's confusion is audible, as is his curiosity.] I wasn't aware there was another service dock in this part of the building.
[The wording was technically incorrect. It was more the fact that he knew there wasn't . . . until now, apparently. He'd have to rescan the building, curious if nothing else at what other changes might have been wrought and why. But for now, he rolled forward, carefully nosing the doors open to either side of his prow.]

I wouldn't say it is a service dock.
[V follows. Heavy and stiff, the doors open slowly; they swing shut slowly, too, giving V time to slip in after KITT. The room they've entered is like many in the museum's interior---windowless but well-lit, with a high ceiling and smooth marble floor.]
Although it is incomplete, being impersonal, I present to you, your room. Winter is upon us, and you ought to be able to come in, out of the cold.
[action] LOL yeah, no joke XDguardianbydesgnDecember 15 2010, 08:29:05 UTC
[The AI is silent for a long, long moment, save for the slow whoom-whoom of his front scanner bar. When finally he speaks, his voice is soft, with no small amount of disbelief.]
A . . . a room. My own room? I don't . . . V, I-I don't know what to say!
[The TransAm's engine revs softly, the whine of the turbine ramping before settling again.]
. . . thank you.
[The note of gratitude is subdued - out of lingering shock if nothing else - but clearly there.]

[V seems pleased with the reaction, standing with his hands clasped and an air of satisfaction.]
'Thank-you' should suffice. You've a home here, and now, you've evidence of it.

Do you still have the partizan that Nautilus gave me some months ago?

I do, indeed.
