Did I tell you about my cult?

I have decided recently that, while it may not be in my best interests, I would like to form a cult. I know the work 'cult' has bad connotations, but I don't care. All I do care about is making something simple and easy to join.
So here are the rules:

1. All cult members must acknowledge something. (It can be tangible or conceptual, unfathomable or simple.)
Ex. I acknowledge the dresser in my dorm room.

2. All cult members must acknowledge a relationship between themselves and the something of rule one. (Similarities? Differences? What do these say about you?)
Ex. Like the dresser, I store within me the concealing disguises and masks that people wish me to view them in.

3. Create one or more rules of behavior based on these observations, and then choose whether or not to follow them. (How can you become more (or less) like the something you observe?)
Ex. I will perceive and treat people as they would like to be treated. If someone changes, I will accept their change.

4. Spread the message of the cult. (Preach, proselytize, hand out pamphlets)
