Joe, the story you wrote about the art of Pine Needle Weaving that appeared in the Thursday, June 29th edition of the Kerrville Daily Times was presented in a refreshing and engaging manner. Both the Butt-Holdsworth Library and the KACC have reported that it has produced phenomenal public interest.
The library has asked me to extend my display of pine needle works another week because of the high interest the public has shown. They attribute the increase of patronage to your article.
KACC said their phones were "ringing off the hook" the day the story appeared. Many callers were interested in learning more about the art and have signed up for the August 14-18th workshop. In fact, the overflow will probably generate a second workshop.
Thanks so much for your help to highlight this nearly vanquished art.
