Life Choices

It is amazing how many choices we have to make in life.  I have come to realize that I do not have any one intellegent to talk to about some of the touch stuff.

I have been training to become a site planner at my company.  There is only one site planner per call center, so it is not an easy position to get.  Well, we have a new call center opening in GA.  Now I need to decide if I want to apply for the job.  My boss will not let me apply unless I am positive I want to go.  I wish I could sit and discuss the pros and cons with someone who can look at it from many angles.

There are a lot of good reasons to try for the job.  First, my company gives you a moving bonus when you move to help out the company.  Second you get a nice pay raise for helping launch a center.  Third, it would be a pay raise for the promotion on top of the raise for moving.  I have heard that you can get around a 20% pay raise for moving to open a call center.  And it would be an incredible opporunity for my career.

But GA is so far away.  All my family lives on the West Coast.  But I only see my brothers about twice a year anyways.  I do not travel to Eugene very often to see my Mom.  I just don't like going there any more.  My mom comes to visit me but only a couple times a year.  And Bud never sees the kids.  I would have no one close to call upon in an emergency.

I would love your thoughts on this issue.  Please ask me questions to think about.  Point out things that I have not considered.  I need my intellegent friends to help me out.

Thanks for your time.

Pam
