Doctor Doctor Give Me the News

I left work about a half hour after I got there today because I really didn't feel well. I was concerned that Ann wouldn't let me leave, but she did. Of course, I have to go to the doctor and bring a note, which is really dumb to me. I mean, dude, my stomach hurts and my throat is sore. Unless it lasts for several days, this is no cause for alarm. It would just make a 12 hour workday complete agony.
But apparantly there is no space in between "go home from work" sick and "go see a doctor" sick. Jesus.
I haven't been to a doctor in 8 years and I'm a little unsure of what to do. Walk-in clinics seem swanky to me. And I'm just going to go in there and be like "Hey dude. I shouldn't be here, but my employer said I had to come. So let me take up your time while you could be dealing with people who are actually in need of you."
Its not like I leave work all the time or anything. I haven't taken time off for anything. And its not like I don't have personal days and holidays. Feeling under the weather should be covered under "personal" in the Fuck Off I Don't Owe You an Explantion category.

On a happier note, if anyone has not seen or heard about it, I acquired a darling kitten. He is an absolute sweetheart and I'm in love. I named him Armand and I can't wait to get a little red bowtie collar for him and a nametag with a Gothic A on it.
