On a side note: My roommate came back to the room. He just found out that he was lactose intolerant, and now he's all in a tizzy. It turns out that his parents had always bought lactaid milk, and so he found out in a very hard manner that milk does not agree with him. At least...that part of milk.
It's hard not to laugh. :B
- So, where last did we leave off? Yes. Orientation. Most importantly, the parents have now left and I am left to fend for myself in the brutal streets of collegiate Cleveland (I think collegiate is my new favorite word). I was a little skeptical at first, because I find myself very hard to open up to people. However, through the roommate and my orientation gruop, I've gradually learned to open up. I've met quite a bit of people, and already established a somewhat primitive social circle. We hang out at Arabica, the coffee shop, instead of going to freshman class gettogethers. n_n
- On one of my orientation events, I got to see the college radio station. I was throughly impressed not only with the facilities (which had a nice feel to it), but also with the people there. They were the kind of peoples that I would hang out with in school, with my sense of humor, penchant for cursing, and vibrant hair colors (Micah's hair is certainly something else, but only in the best way possible.)
- I have found Chinese people! And get this...THEY ALL SPEAK MANDARIN! Nina and Stanley...well, maybe not Nina, but definitely Stanley, would be thrilled. We know so many people who speak Cantonese that it's a shock when people speak Mandarin. Allison and Xiao and part of the primitive circle, and a very welcome addition. Allison's into anime, and Xiao's into being an art student. She could have passed off as either a Case student or an Art Student at the CIA (Instutite of Art, you fools!)
- In addition, I'm currently looking for the DDRers of the university. I've found one, talk to him, and his pads should be coming soon. He only lives a building over, goes by the name of Alex, and should be a good addition into our circle.
- FLCL is fucked up. Nick and I agree. There isn't much more that's more odd than that.
- Okay. I'm really running low on things to say, but I think that's it. Is there anything else? ...community service is fun. I helped pack food and clothes for a hunger shelter, though it would have been ultimately more rewarding if we could give the food bags and clothes to the people themselves.
- I've noticed that every music I know plays violin. But that's cool. The more the merrier...though I still really want to start up a quartet.
- My sleep schedule is all screwed up right about now. Last night, I got back from an intensive game of Egyptian Rat Screw (aka Hot Hot Sex). I mean...I've played some intense games of ERS before, but none that lasted for an hour and half each and resulted in me going out at 3:30 in the morning in a giddy state of mind. I was talking to myself, hallucinating...I'm worried that I was going to be written up for a citation for acting like a drunken fool.
yay. I think this is the end...it feels like it. I'm going to go back to cleaning now... *gasp*
