I mean, I don't really see the slash in the show, you know? What with the whole thing with the supposedly sexless-angels and all that (and there's Jimmy to remember, as well). But I did choose to slash them because:

1 - You can take the other approach to all those looks, invasions of personal space, hush-hush confessions... and it's so ridiculously easy to see them being in love that you don't even really need to look.

2 - The PRETTY. I mean, c'mon. Two pretty boys together? ANY TIME BABY!

3 - The HOTNESS. Which is a result of 2) and there is certain wall-slamming scene all the fandom will have in their mind forever and ever. Not to mention almost all the other scenes these two share. Nnngh

But the really important thing here is de depth of their connection, you know? I don't think Dean trusts anyone easily. And, surprise, surprise, after their kind of rocky beginning, he ends up trusting Castiel so much it kind of reveals that the angel has become someone pretty important to him. Besides, one thing that surprised me a lot was the fact that they tell each other the kind of things that one usually keeps close to their heart.

Castiel goes to Dean with his doubts, bares himself to his human charge and I think Dean understands what the angel goes through. Even when he turns away from Dean you can sense Castiel's guilt when he acts in ways that won't benefit Dean. And a harsh word from Dean cuts Cas deep. The same way a pleading word from Cas hardens Dean's resolve to do things he would prefer not doing (4.16 anyone?)

I don't know, I think their relationship is epic in the terms that it's a very flawed human being that manages to shake something as little human as an angel's beliefs and it takes an angel for Dean to find friendship in such a little rewarding life he leads.

And god, in three words.

I LOVE THEM

and shutting up now because the wall of text is kind of scary and I blame it totally on my medication. But yes, I could talk about Dean and Cas relationship FOREVER. And with lots of squeeing as well.
