My favorite Buffy episode? Restless, hands down.
It may be my favorite episode on television ever. (Almost) everything about it is perfect.
It's a character study.
It's meta on on things passed and events yet to come.
It's something to think (and sing) about.
It's chilling and creepy and funny and beautiful.
It's a writing extravaganza.
It's art.
It has imo the best music Chris Becke ever created for Buffy.
It has singing Giles!

Now, what is my favorite Six Feet Under episode? I haven't really thought about it, but I can at least tell you my currently favorite episode, which is... Nobody Sleeps, I guess. It's such a different place for different characters, and I must say I'm a little biased, 'cause I just love seeing Ruth happy. And David's breakdown... oh God. (Yes, I identify the most with these two, in case you were wondering... though Brenda is pretty close. And Nate with Claire as well. This show is that good.)
Now that I think of it... "Restless?" "Nobody sleeps?" I sense a pattern there. ;-)
