So McCain has chosen Palin as his VP. Huh.
Cons:
- Racist middle-aged women who were Clinton supporters may now vote for McCain. (On the other hand, does McCain really think a lot of people won't watch the debates, won't pay attention to his endless gaffes, won't realize how little experience Palin has? Does he think a large enough portion of Americans will vote solely based on genitalia? I sure hope he's wrong.)
Pros:
- McCain can no longer say one word about Obama's lack of experience, because Palin has a hundred times less than Obama. She only has 18 months experience as the governor of the least populated state in the country. She has zero experience in DC and zero foreign policy experience. Up until now, McCain's biggest critique of Obama was that he doesn't have enough experience, that he's not 'ready to lead'. McCain's main line of attack against Obama is now obliterated.
- She's in the middle of a scandal.
- Biden will completely destroy this woman in the debates. It will be amusing.
And the scary thing?
McCain is 72. SEVENTY-TWO. If he dies in office? A woman with 18 months experience as the governor of the least populated state in the country, someone with no experience in DC or in foreign affairs, will be the President of the most powerful nation on earth. In essence? We'd be fucked. Absolutely fucked. Doesn't matter if she was a Democrat or a Republican, this whole country is fucked.
