The morning after the blackout had Theo sleeping until early in the afternoon, the shades drawn and his face buried in the pillow besides. Anything to try and soothe the headache and buzzing in his ears since their trip to the basement. It was to no avail, and Monday hadn't been any kinder; for maybe the first time, Theo had been utterly silent in class, sullen and on the verge of snapping at even his roommate.
In his terrible mood, he'd skipped dinner in favor of some aspirin and headed for the library. With the school's cafeteria busy for dinner service, it was as good a place as any to try and get some work done without interruption.
