So I chickened out on my Halloween story. I have the entire thing done in my head, I just don't feel like writing it. I'm too into writing my comic book right now.
So, is it just me or is this year the worst year for movies? Hollywood is making nothing but crap, crap, crap, OH LOOK ANOTHER REMAKE!!!, and more crap. Do we have no more ideas? We've remade just about everything now, and there's more to come. The amount of remakes so far have already passed being superfluous. I read that 2005 is breaking records for the all time lows at the box office! I believe that. I've seen very few good movies this year.
I hope to God they hurry up and turn Chuck Palahniuk's book "Invisible Monsters" into a movie soon and save us from movie hell.
And as far as video game movies go, we MIGHT actually be getting a break. Now that DOOM is out, we've pretty much proven to ourselves we CANNOT turn a video game into a good movie.
That, my friends, is about to change. With Silent Hill. One of the best, screwed up, insane video games (that always contain incredible plot lines that'll blow anybody's mind) is about to be made into a movie. And this time, I believe it's gonna be very good.
The guy who turned Bret Easton Ellis's novel, "The Rules of Attraction" into a mind-blowing film, is behind Silent Hill. For those of you who don't know, Bret Easton Ellis also wrote "American Psycho," which connects to "The Rules of Attraction."
Hopefully these geniuses can save us before it's too late. Deliver us from thin plots, crappy remakes, and buddy comedy soon! We're drowing in movies that can't even grasp mediocrity.
