Ive just joined this community and wanted to stop in and say Hi to everyone.
And to say how much I enjoyed the series "Island at War"
Which I almost feel wrong for, because in reality I know that it must have been absolute hell for the people on those islands
Having been effectively abandoned by their own countrymen, leaving them totally helpless and defenceless against an invading German army. And here we are enjoying a drama about it?
But OMG... Philip Glenisters portrayal of Baron Von Rheingarten .....
that man can come and invade my home any time he wants LOL
I mean he turned out to be ok in the end, didnt he?
In fact I think Mr and Mrs Dorr were extremely fortunate that it was Rheingarten who was in charge
Some of the Officers were right sadistic *Pigs*
In comparison, the Baron was really quite the gentleman.
and God, the sexual tension between him and Felicity???
That tyre changing scene *sigh* God, it was intense
Though at times he appeared quite intimidatory, there was a real vulnerability there and it was in those moments, you could see Felicity *falling* for him.....just that little bit......
but GOD??? I wanted her to fall really hard and quite spectacularly LMAO
Also time to give East anglias fic and Ivargarfits vid a bit of a plug ....
I read the fic after seeing ivargarfits Baron/Felicity vid on You TUbe
and I swear its the best piece of fanfiction writing that I've ever read.
From the first chapter to the end, I was totally hooked.
In fact, I marathon read the whole thing in one day, it was THAT GOOD!!
With the two things combined (EA's fic and Ivargarfits vid) it serves as a fine tribute indeed.
