Sticking his hands in his pockets, Ezra stepped onto the sidewalk and caught sight of a familiar figure just up ahead.
He jogged lightly over to the older boy, falling into step with a smile next to him after seeing he'd guessed right. "Dominick." He'd only meant to say a quick hello, but noticed the baseball bat hanging off the side of his backpack and paused. It wasn't exactly out of place, but... maybe they were thinking along the same lines. "How're you?"
