WHO: Abby and Joe
WHERE: A park near Adessi Hall.
WHEN: Saturday, July 21st, 1934
WHY: Abby needs a break from the rich kids.
Joe arrived at the park promptly for her weekly meeting with Abby and headed straight for their designated meeting spot by the duck pond. She didn't dilly-dally or stray from her destination as she may have with anyone else; it was hardly unusual for Joe to get distracted by a game of catch with one of the local children on the way to a business meeting and she had to rush in order to be on time. Meetings with Abby weren't business, however; at least not unless Joe needed something mended and even then, the transactions were completely as quickly as possible so they could get straight to the fun stuff like shooting ducks and annoying loud-mouthed boys with slingshots. She wasn't quite sure what Abby would want to do today but she'd stuffed her slingshot in her pants pocket along with a spare for her friend should she need one.
Huh, she's not here yet. Must've gotten hung up with her folks. Oh, well. Nothing to do but wait until she gets here.
Joe stood by the pond, back to the park's entrance, and watched the water. There were a few ducks over on this end and a larger cluster of them further down but she didn't take out her slingshot yet. Best to wait for Abby on those. It was still open season on anyone particularly obnoxious or rude who happened to wander into range, though.
