WHO: Lester, Ezra and Rolf WHERE: Dorms WHEN: July 14th, 2012 / Midnight (following Persona thread) WHY: Rolf and Ezra "escort" Lester back to his room
Lester wiggled a little to make himself more comfortable as Ezra carried him up the stairs. This was certainly a lucky turn of events. After the fiasco with the purple light faces and the paper critters and his own fairy (he thought he felt something kick him in the head)...Yes, he was definitely ready to sleep in the girl's bathroom if necessary. And then Rolf was wonderful enough to suggest that he and his roommate, Ezra, bring him back up to his room. In times like this he was not one to turn down the offer.
"Hmmmm?" He said, or rather, breathed, when Ezra started talking to him. He thought he caught about every other word or so. "Oh~. No? That's-" a yawn "too bad..." He felt his eyelids flutter and he had bothered to put some effort into keeping them open. It was the least he could do when he wasn't entirely coherent.
"Thank you, both of you," he muttered for perhaps the third time since they started heading to his room.
When Rolf caught sight of Lester comfortably resting on Ezra in the girls' restroom, he knew it was a match made in heaven.
Okay, maybe he didn't know, but it was still rather cute and maybe with a little nudging on his end, something could come of this. Which was why Lester was now sprawled all over Ezra's back. Oh yes, this was a good idea.
Still full of energy, despite the chaotic night, Rolf whipped around and jogged backwards, shining his flashlight at the two. "Don't thank me. Thank Ezra!" he laughed. "He's the one carrying you, after all. He's stronger than he looks, huh?"
Still, Rolf slowed his pace to walk beside them both, just in case Lester decided to slide off Ezra's back. "Actually, you two were pretty awesome in there."
"It's nothing, Lester, don't worry 'bout it." He blushed at Rolf's light teasing, silently vowing to return the awkwardness someday, tenfold. "You weren't bad yourself."
Really, everyone had impressed him that night. Flashy attacks and persona aside, they'd worked pretty well together, and it seemed like each of them had a specialty they'd latched onto quickly. Whether they'd luck out with more friendly monsters the next time... well, it was too early to start worrying like that.
He shook his head at himself and smiled lopsidedly at Rolf, who looked ready for round two, right now.
"Why us? ... Sorry, there's no answer to that, is there? It's just hard to take in." He grimaced. "Our school - hell, the city - is going to be attacked by monsters." Nope, saying it outloud didn't make it any easier to wrap his mind around.
He blinked in Rolf's general direction a number of times before settling back down on Ezra's back. "Thank you, then, Ezra." And he lost his train of thought and added: "both of you" once again.
"You guys were amazing toooo," he chimed. "Fire and fire flower..." his voice fell back down to a mumble as he tried to organize the words floating around in and around his head. He wiggled a little again as he contemplated the situation they now found themselves in.
"I wonder...if anyone else saw faces and fairies like we did...?"
