Like Dominick, Amalia started her morning the way she usually started her mornings; weird stuff in mailboxes or not, she could overlook it in favor of routine. Her phone - the one she used as an alarm so as not to rouse Emi from her sleep - rumbled incessantly until she stirred, and then she moved about her room with the stealthiness of a shadow, tossing on a tanktop and a pair of shorts and getting her stretching done right outside her door once she'd stepped out.
She took the steps two at a time, hopped the last four and scooted outside-- and just barely missed colliding with the person sitting there. Her hands might have done better to attempt to halt her forward movement, but they were currently engrossed in pulling her hair back into a short ponytail. Her jerky halt became a sidestep - right off the stoop - and Ama blinked when she realized that she (somewhat) recognized the figure. She made a point of knowing the more athletic students, after all.
Hearing the skitter of sneakers behind him, Dominick jerked up from the steps and came face to face with Amalia. Recognizing the frazzled girl (even if it was a little embarrassing), Dominick grinned. An underclassman, yeah, but the students in Adessi's athletic programs tended to bump into each other. Though usually not so literally...
"Good morning, Amalia," he greeted, casually stretching one arm over his head. Dominick raised his eyebrows as he noticed her outfit. "Going somewhere this early, huh?"
"Corriendo," Amalia said automatically, then corrected herself a split second later. "I mean I'm just running." She rarely hesitated to reply to something, even when she could afford to think a little before she answered. But she wasn't ashamed to have been caught loping about so early-- obviously, going by the way Dominick was dressed, she wasn't the only one.
"You're doing the same, aren't you?" She grinned, finally fully recovering her balance. "Or are you just out to watch the sun rise?"
"Aha," he grinned sheepishly, Amalia's sudden burst of Spanish flying right over his head. "Yeah, I like to kick off the day by knocking out the cardio first thing. Running really helps to clear the mind, you know?"
Dominick wasn't really used to running with a partner, at least not outside of team training (and what crazy havoc that often broke into) but...He scratched his chin, looking at Amalia curiously. "Hey, I've got a thought. If you're game for it, we could make a quick circuit across the campus. Only a mile or so if we skip across the courtyard, I think." Dominick raised his eyebrows and wondered what her reaction might be.
