Heather wasn't sure what the whole conversation had been about when she first arrived and everyone else was talking, but she decided for the best it was probably for the best to not mix in the middle of it for now. Especially not since it was mostly Lawrence and Oscar talking, and both of them were rather.. intimidating to the shy girl.

When the box was held out to her though, she took it (carefully, oh so very carefully) with a slight nod, making sure to hold on to it well so it wouldn't fall to the ground. The last thing she wanted was for the principal to get mad at her for not carrying the thing well, even though he entrusted such an important thing to her of all the people in this group. "H.. hmm, I'll make sure nobody opens it.." She nodded again, even more timidly this time.

Then her gaze wandered off to Ezra and Lawrence for a moment, who seemed to be talking about something quietly amongst themselves, even though she wasn't sure what it was about. Her expression turned even more awkward, but she figured someone had to ask, so..

"Um.. A-are the two of you ready to go too..?"

Lester had noticed Ezra and Lawrence talking to each other. See, if they could play nice, he could play nice. His thoughts confirmed, he turned back to focus on what really had his attention at the moment. He walked up to Heather and stared at the box that was now in her hands. Good box or bad box? Shrodinger's box? Did that even make sense? He didn't know. But that was okay. At least now he knew it would be opened eventually.

Lillian suppressed a smile at the principal's hasty retreat. She'd managed to learn something new, at least, and it might even be valuable for future dealings with Mr. Ivors. She, too, noticed the slight change in atmosphere between Lawrence and Ezra; at that, she did smile ever so slightly.

"We should get going," she announced quietly, pulling her phone out of her purse to send one last text to Emi while she walked.

we're leaving. please bring 6 headsets from 401.

Then she closed her phone again and tucked it back into her purse.

Lawrence was roused from his thoughts by Heather and his serious expression returned to him. He nodded once.

"We're ready. I apologize for holding everything up." He announced in response, speaking for both he and Ezra.

He couldn't help but stare at Oscar out of the corner of his eye, though. It was true their tete-a-tete for the evening was over, but somehow he felt that, as a whole, it wasn't over at all. It didn't go anywhere, but simply abandoning it made him feel uneasy.

"It's fine," Lillian said, pausing to smile softly at Lawrence, before continuing on her way, leaving the others to follow suit or further linger as they preferred. She was leaving for the zoo.

[OOC: I was thinking we could skip ahead to the zoo soon and any stragglers could meet up there, if that's okay with you, Cara? :D]

There was some whispering. And then a timid response from Heather. As entertained as he was with the scenario, Oscar took that as his que to nod a goodbye to them and slip back in the building to carry on with his own nightly routine. He was sure they could handle it from there. Well, mostly sure. There was never any certainty in what they would get up to.

Emi, however, was running late. As usual. She could never be sure how late of an evening it was going to be wondering around with that certain group of people, but she prepared herself earlier that day with good pizza and Starducks coffee. There was always time for Starducks coffee. While she had arrived back to the dormitory before they actually had to meet, she had at least spent half an hour changing into more appropriate clothing for a trek across town. And to a zoo no less. This had better be worth it.

She had been taking her sweet time when she received Lillian's text, making an unamused face at her cellphone screen. She had made sure to reply with a firm 'I'm not your maid, remember to bring them yourself from now on.', but did put on her shoes and hurry out the door. With the six headsets obtained from the room, she finally hurried down the steps to meet up with them.

And they were all there for the most part. She waved an uninvested greeting and immediately held out the headsets to Lillian. "I'm not carrying these. Are we going?"

(ooc: Skipping ahead is fine if you guys want to!)
