The library was the place Heather went to after classes by default in general, but ever since the whole Persona business started she had only started visiting it more and more. After all, there was plenty they didn't know yet about Persona and the monsters they were fighting, and if there were any answers to be found they might be hidden in the texts in the library. Not to mention that she was already a regular there, so Heather had felt like it was her personal duty to make sure to do lots of research and share her findings with the rest of the group ( ... )

Lester's eyes fluttered open when he heard something other than the music in his ears. He pulled one earbud out and started looking around. It took him a moment to realize that Heather was standing nearby.

It didn't surprise him at all to see her there. She was registered in his head as the girl from the library who also had a fairy. So it seemed only natural that they run into each other sooner or later in this establishment.

"Hello Heather," he said. He turned to face her, stretched, and yawned. He looked over his shoulder at the rest of the aisle and then back to Heather. "Am I in your way?"

At first she stared at him for a moment, but then she let out a very tiny - but still somewhat shy - giggle. It was hard not to feel more at ease around someone as spacey and calm as Lester, after all. She shook her head lightly. "No, not at all.. I was just walking here in the library when I saw you sitting here." She paused, wondering if saying what she was planning to say after that was really a good idea and if it wouldn't just sound weird. But in the end she decided to go with it nonetheless, even if it was with stuttering. "I-I just thought I.. should come over and say hi, that's all."

Heather wanted to stare away because of her nervousity, but staring at the carpet again might be a little too suspicious. So instead this time she settled for one of the book shelves next to her. That's right, staring at book shelves wasn't something weird to do in a library at all, right? Just stare at the books, pretend to read what the sides say..

"Oh," he said. "Hello." He yawned and rubbed his eyes before following the way she was looking. So he shifted to get on his knees and stare at the bookshelf as well.

"Are you looking for a book in particular~?"

"Eh?" She was sort of caught off guard by the question, considering that wasn't why she was looking at the bookshelves at all.. but just telling the real reason she was looking there would be much too embarassing and would leave behind a bad impression, right?

For a moment Heather struggled with her options on what to do in this situation, but then she just let out a very short and very nervous laugh. "O-oh.. No, I'm fine, don't worry. I wasn't really looking for anything.."

For a second he turned over to look at her and tilting his head to the side. And then he smiled. "That's okay too~. I'm not really looking for anything either." He paused and scratched the side of his head. "Well~ I think I was at first, but now I don't really remember what I was looking for. I'll remember eventually."

By now Heather crouched down a little as well. It felt.. strange, to say the very least, to do something like this in a library. But at least it put her on a more even level with Lester, she didn't want to give off some sort of conceited attitude because she kept standing.

"You can't remember?" She tilted her head slightly sideways as well. "Hmm, well.. usually if I can't remember something, I try going back over the things I was thinking about before that in my mind until I remember."

This made it a lot easier for him to see her face. He wondered if maybe he should have stood up since it was like he had made her come down here. But since she was down here now, it would be weird to stand up. So he didn't.

"I do that a lot~," he said. "This not remembering things. Ummmmm." He turned back to stare at the shelf again. Most of these titles sounded like gibberish and were probably novels written far too long ago for him to ever remember.

"Oh!" he brought his hands together in front of him. "The blue fairy! Heather, do you know where I can find things about butterflies~?"

"Blue.. fairy?" She just stared curiously for a few moments at the boy, as if she didn't quite get what he was going on aobut now. As kind Lester was, he had an.. interesting way of putting things at times. But when he mentioned butterflies, the metaphorical lightbulb lit up for Heather.

"Oh, you mean the one we saw back when we got.." She paused, realising they were in quite a public space. So instead Heather just gave an awkward pause. "... well, you know."

She turned her head around, staring at a few book shelves a little distance away from them. "I think there are books on butterflies at the biology section.. but I don't think if we could find anything about that butterfly though."

"Hmmmm. Biology section..." he mused. He looked around at his surroundings, wondering which section he could possibly be in at that particular moment. He had no idea but since it seemed novel-y he thought maybe it had to do with literature. Maybe.

He opened his mouth in protest about not finding anything about the butterfly. And then he closed it again on second thought. If people didn't know about the fairies and demons in general... ...

"Mmmm maybe not~," he said. "I just want to know what the blue fairy is. I guess I'm just curious~."

"We're all a little curious about it, I think.." She looked slightly apologetic, as if it was her fault for not being able to explain more on it. (In a way she did feel like that, because she was always the one doing research and reading things, she should at least be able to find out this much, but..)

She stared around the library from her crouching position again. "Maybe we could just.. take a look through the books and see if we can find anything relevant? Maybe more on the symbolic or metaphorical functions of butterflies.. t-that's our best chance I think."

Lester's face lit up in a smile and he stood up with about as much energy anyone could have seen him muster. ...Okay he wasn't going to do that again for a while.

"Okay~. Maybe we can find something. Who knows what connects to what. Besides." He scratched the side of his head. "Emi and I are doing a science project about butterflies."

Heather followed in standing up, although it wasn't quite as full of energy - it wasn't quite in a graceful way either.

"Oh, so it's for your homework too..?" She smiled a little bit, as if to encourage the boy. "At least you can two things at once then, right? I'm also glad to hear you're getting along with her so well.." After all, Heather was still sort of scared of the blunt girl at times.

"Uh-huh," he said, nodding. "Killing two birds with o-..." He trailed off. He knew that saying, but it sounded violent and he didn't really like it. He put his fingers on the sides of his head and started making a sound of ~thoughtfulness~. It was rather prolonged until..."Catching two butterflies with one fairy!" There. This was a lot nicer and shinier and still kept the same format as the original saying. This should work! He was mildly proud of his creation. He would have to use this again some time.

"Huh? Oh, you mean me and Emi? She's not a bad person~. She likes yelling at me. I don't know why though."

She.. actually couldn't do much but watch the boy curiously as he did his little skit. Part of her felt like commenting that the new saying he developed didn't quite make as much sense as the original, but who was she to do something that rude? Heather decided to just let him have his fun, for better or worse.

The talk about Emi earned a nervous giggle from her though. "I think she likes yelling at people a lot.. H-hmm, I'll have to agree though that she's not a bad person.."

He leaned forward, tilted his head to the side and looked up into Heather's face. "Are you okay~?" She started acting a little funny when Emi came up. Maybe...they didn't get along too well? "Is Emi being mean to you?"
