Despite all of the hard work she and the others did in search for historical proofs and answers, all trails seem to lead to dead ends. )
He'd hoped for a moment that Xochi had been reading it wrong, a thought that didn't get past his persona who had answered with an indignant squawk. When it comes to Anthony, I'll never doubt you again. "Okay, you're not allowed to use that again unless you're aiming at us!"
Now the monster was considerably more pointy, menacing and... rooted to the ground? Who knew how long it would remain immobile before it changed shape again. "Whatever you did made it weaker, Lester. I don't think it'll last long so take advaWOAH--"
The blade-shaped creature made to take a swing at them. Apparently, it only appeared fixed in place and could move quickly when it wanted to. Xochipilli struck out once more with fire, while Ezra scrambled back, half-tripping over his own feet on legs that were starting to feet like limp noodles. He definitely wasn't going to last much longer. "Be careful guys!"

He nodded at Djinn and the fairy (note made for a mental bashing later). "Let's do this~."
Another shot of zio collided with the thing in an attempt to knock it off balance.

Because if he did it again, she'd have to punch him, and the look she flashed him said as much, right before she headed right back into the fray. Pausing to steady Ezra as best as she could (which looked somewhat ridiculous, considering the height difference), she managed to keep him upright.
"Same to you," she told him, uncharacteristically serious-- before an impish grin took over. "But we're not losing here, so don't worry so much! Huitzilop..."
Screw mouthfuls.
"Huitzil! We're going in!"
Another blast of wind at the blade was her answer (as well as a nice combo with Lester's Zio attack), the little hummingbird darting in eager circles around her as Ama took off to try and draw its attention. And here agility saved her, so that when the monster took another swing, she avoided most of the strike-- until it swung back and knocked her back.
In retrospect, Amalia reflected, landing on broken priceless artifacts hurt quite a bit. Not anything that stopped her from scrambling to her feet after a pained yelp, but she winced as she did so and her own tiredness was beginning to make itself apparent.
Still, she had enough energy. She'd keep flinging little mini tornadoes at it until the damned thing went down and stayed down.

And she should do something too. As much as Heather was afraid of attacking because the monster might lash out at her, she felt too guilty for just sitting there and watching everyone fight, especially since even Lillian had gotten up to fight again.
Slowly the girl stood up and gave her Persona another pleading look, this time without words - they weren't needed, after all. Inugami let out a howl before flinging itself at the enemy to follow up Lester and Amalia's attacks, trying to scratch it with its poison claws.

The blade creature began to glow, rainbow light giving away to white, glowing brighter and brighter as it withdrew its base from the floor and reshaped itself into something new, this time into an large white centaur-like creature with muscular arms and eight, long spider-like legs ending in sharp, stilletto-like points. Instead of having hands, one arm fused into a long sharp looking blade, the other into a powerful-looking hammer. This form was significantly smaller and had more distinguishable features than either of the previous forms and a vaguely humanoid face though it looked scorched and half-melted and sickly gray blotches and boils had broken out all over it.
Still, a large, malevolent red eye opened in the center of its forehead to glare at them all before a slit opened horizontally across the bottom half of its face.
"You will not stop me!" its voice boomed and echoed off the walls, mouth melting back into its face just as quickly as it had appeared.
If it could not slaughter them with its might, then it would crush their defenses and escape.
The muffled shouts of policemen filtered up through the floor. The cops had arrived at the second floor.

...Water. Sparks...Electricity.
"Lilly," he announced, moving to stand by her. "Do you think...do water and electricity work together?"
Djinn sparked some more and whirred around the two of them once.
He kept an eye on the monster, wondering if it was going to start moving faster now that it was on eight legs. He could make it less resistant to attacks but he didn't think he could make it slower. Or make those big hammers and blades hurt less.
((OOC: OH GODS. GUYS. I'm sorry. I totally mixed up Tarunda and Rakunda. Lester's been using Rakunda ;A; I'm sorryyyyy pretend he's been saying Rakunda orz orz orz I'm changing his stuff around in his profile and the wiki so that it all says he has Rakunda now orz orz)))

"They do but anyone standing in water could get shocked, too," she said, sounding a litte worried. She hated to discourage Lester in anything, especially when they needed to work together so much. That thought resulted in a sudden mental nudge from Nephele.
By water, fire, and earth, stone will rise by our command, Nephele murmured then fell silent.
If Lillian hadn't been so tired, the vagueness of Nephele's statement wouldn't have hindered her in the least. She felt sluggish, both physically and mentally standing there, and she knew after she got home (if she got home) that she would kick herself for not being able to fill in the details herself. There was another nudge from Nephele and that strange moment of double vision she'd experienced before. Nephele was looking at something. No, she was looking at someone. Emi's bear and her gaze shifted to Ezra then to Rolf.
Water, fire, earth... Now she understood.
"They can work together!" came Lillian's sudden outburst and she unconsciously took a step forward, her vision entirely her own again. "The Personas! They can combine their powers!"
Nephele's arms exploded into another rush of water directed at the beast.

Emi raised an eyebrow at Lillian as if she were crazy. Okay, sure, whatever. She'd play along. Summoning her persona once more, she sent the bear to use its Magna spell to coincide with Nephele's water.

Rolf felt a strange tug, and he realized it was Baldur who gave him a wink and thumbs up. Right. It might be ugly but it wasn't something to be terrified of, especially with all of them here. Bolstered by this thought and Lillian's rallying cry, he planted his feet down and shouted, "Agi!"
Baldur reared up to his full height, flung out his cape, and snapped his fingers. The instant the burst of flame touched Nephele's water and Otso's rocks, the energy from these three elements seemed to condense together before finally exploding, a sharp boulder with a wicked point shooting from the floor and into the spider's gut.

Still, the damage had already been done and it was severe.
It collapsed onto the floor, tiny powder clouds floating upward. Its head and torso slumped forward, it weapon arms falling heavily to the floor with a loud thud. It couldn't support its own weight much less find the strength to run but its life was not yet fully extinguished. It no longer had the energy to transform but it could speak. It would not wait for death silently.
"You... you have only hastened your doom! You have opened the door to horrors you cannot imagine. My kind will bathe in your blood and drink of your lifeforce until you are nothing more than empty husks littering the fields of battle!" Its slit mouth reappeared and it began to cough, more glitterdust escaping. It made a feeble attempt to move.
[OOC: One more hit and its down, guys!]

Amalia watched the combo curiously, but swiftly switched her attention back to the monster. The thing was as good as beat, but she wanted to get a hit in. She was tired and sore, the police would be approaching, and this thing had hurt her... friends? Group? Team.
It was time to end this.
"You talk too much," she snapped. "Even if we opened that door, we can take anything you throw at us until we can slam it shut again! Now shut up already, you yap more than my dog! Guys, do I get a combo this time?"
Huitzil's answering gust ruffled her bangs, the wind picking up around her and sending some of those priceless artifacts clinking into the air. Lillian had made a point that combined attacks did more damage, so she'd just have to hope everyone else had caught on to that as the wind surged forward to finally silence the fallen creature.

The melted face was a lot harder to ignore now that it was cursing them with that booming voice and hacking up god knows what. He'd seen more than enough through his persona's eyes to stew over for a few days, though, so when Ama called out, he stepped forward eagerly. "Coming right up." At Ezra's firm nod, Xochipilli sent a burst of flame to join in the rapidly building elemental force hurtling towards the monster.

As they had before, the elemental forces converged and transformed, this time into a large, howling whirlwind that relentlessly shredded their foe. More or that stinky powder was coming out of it, making it hard to see exactly what was going on in the twister's eye. It didn't matter, anyway. It was finished now and Lillian had absolutely no desire to keep standing there watching. She ached, she was exhausted, and she wanted to go home.
"We have to go now," she announced in a tired monotone and started stumbling toward the nearest elevator or stairwell. Whichever got her out of there fastest without being seen.
[OOC: We don't necessarily have to play out the escape. We can just say that they got away and made a run for it and call it a wrap if that's cool with everyone? :D}

"Well~, at least it's gone now?" he wondered aloud, referring to the mirror creature. "Thaaank you fairies."
Djinn knocked him one upside the head. From the inside of his head. However that worked.
