Finally.
For those of you who didn't know, my computer has been out of commission for about a month and a half, since finals week. It was due to a faulty motherboard used by HP, and there was a recall issued for my laptop and others like it.
Unfortunately, after shipping my laptop in, I got a phone call stating that it was not working due to a "liquid spill". After about a week of calling them and speaking with a case manager and explaining that it wasn't due to a liquid spill, I was finally able to get them to repair it. The technician was supposed to send pictures of the supposed liquid spill to my case manager, but they only ever sent one picture of the keyboard, and he was like, "that's kind of suspicious, so I'll go ahead and get it fixed for you."
They were trying to charge me over $700 dollars to begin with. I got the computer back in the mail yesterday, and it's actually a lot better than it was before. Not only did they fix the issue causing it to not work, but they also replaced the screen, the cover, the case, the keyboard, and the motherboard. So it's all shiny and new looking again. And they didn't even touch my secondary hard drive, so I still have all the movies/anime stuff I downloaded.
Also, Morgan and I got a kitty. :) Pictures will soon follow.
