It's been a little while since I've updated, but not for lack of trying. My computer died a couple weeks ago, just before finals started. Yes, very inconvenient. I need to send it back to HP to have it fixed, but doing so will completely wipe the hard drive, so I'm working on finding a few cables I need to be able to hook up a hard drive through a USB to a friends computer, so take everything off of it.
In other news, I somehow ended up doing really well in all of my classes. I got a B in physics, which is a huge surprise. I calculated that in order to get a C in the class, I needed to fall into the range of 94-164 points out of the 200 points the final was worth, and in order to get a B, I had to get above that. My past test grades were 74%, 50%, and 87%, so I really didn't see that happening. I suppose it did, though.
Also by some miracle, I got an A in Computer Science. I knew going in that I needed a 94 on the final to get an A, but this really didn't seem possible since my last test grades were 77% and 74%. (The reason I was still close to a B is because our Program assignments are worth more than test grades, and I do really well on those.) When he posted the final exam grades online, I saw that I had somehow gotten a 93% on it, which was a miracle in itself, but my average grade was an 89.8. Luckily for me, this rounded up to a 90, and I got an A. I also got an A in Calc III, which wasn't as much as a surprise, I've done pretty consistently well in that class all year.
Last Saturday we moved out of our dorms and into our apartment. That was an insane amount of work. I started moving at 9 in the morning, and didn't get finished until 4 in the evening. It wasn't that I had a ton of stuff, even though I did have quite a lot, but I was the only one moving it, so I had to drive over to my apartment several times to get it all there.
Now that we've moved in, it's fantastic. Other than the fact we have no desks, couch, chairs, or a kitchen table. It's just awesome having your own bedroom that's seperate from everyone else, having a kitchen to cook things in, and having your own bathroom. I've also started working full time, and my first pay day is this Saturday (I think), so that's exciting. Morgan and I are planning on getting a 32" LCD TV, and later a Wii. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a good LCD HD TV brand?
Also saw Iron Man last night. It was -awesome-. It's probably tied with the first Spider-Man and 300 as my favorite comic book to movie film, all of which are actually some of my favorite movies in general.
Well, back to work, programs to be written, code to be tested.
