last night
was
built to spill!
the
amount
of
excitement
i
had
for the show
was
huge.

i was let down.

they played all new stuff,
which i like,
but not in a live setting,
it is far too "jammy"
and
it just got boring.
they didn't even
play
liar,
which is my favorite song
from the new record.
but,
going against your mind
fucking
rocked.

they opened with
car
which was
great.

they also played
center of the universe
and
weather
which abbi wanted to hear
both were great.

then it was all new stuff
and
a
cover
and
a
instrumental
piece
where there
was
someone talking
on
a
projection screen
behind
the
band.

there was art
playing
the entire
time
which
was
cool.

the encore sucked
though.
they played one song
that
went
on
for about 14
minutes.
it was the equivalent
of
the
decemberists playing
the
entire
tain ep
for
their
encore.
just lame.

i think as a band,
you kind of owe it
to your fans that
payed
$20
to come see you,
to play
at
least some
of
your best songs.

but maybe that's just me.

i am now
officially
sick.

i woke up
with an
earache
and
my
eyes hurt
and
my
nose
is
stuffed up
and
my
throat
hurts.

i think i may go get some coffee.
